Chocolate Mawa Peda is a simple peda recipe using cocoa powder. It uses just 4 ingredients and you can make this wonderful sweet at home for your festival. Khoya or mawa is used in this recipe so it is pretty quick to make. Do try it today!

INGREDIENTS:
200g unsweetened grated khoya
1 tbsp milk
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
Ghee for greasing
Pistachios clippings for garnish
SERVES: Makes 230 g Chocolate Mawa Peda
PREPARATION TIME: 8 min
COOKING TIME: 12 min
SETTING TIME: 30 min
TOTAL TIME: 50 min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
- In a pan cook grated khoya, milk & sugar on low flame till sugar melts stirring continuously.
- Add Cocoa Powder & cook for 7-8 min till mixture leaves sides of the pan. Stir continuously.
- Take out in a bowl & allow to cool down to room temperature.
- Using greased hands made small round balls, lightly flatten them & make a small impression at centre using a thumb.
- Garnish with pistachios clippings on top.
- Set in fridge for 30 min.
- Ready to serve! Store in airtight container in fridge for 2-3 days.
