Baking Tips
- Always ensure all the ingredients required for a recipe should be at room temperature before starting the process.
- After baking cakes, always allow the cake to stand in the mould for 10-15 minutes (unless mentioned otherwise in the recipe) in before transferring it to the cooling rack.
- Preferably use best quality chocolate, eggs, vanilla extract, butter etc for best results.
- Always pre-heat the oven for 10 minutes at the required temperature before baking.
- Avoid over-mixing cookie dough for best results. Just mix lightly until well combined.
- To test the efficiency of baking soda, add a teaspoon of baking soda to 1/2 cup water. If it doesn't bubble, discard it.
- To prevent fruits, nuts or chocolate chips from sinking at the bottom of the pan in cakes or cupcakes, lightly dust them with flour before mixing in the batter.
- For soft, even and thick cookies, bake them in muffin pan.
- Measure the ingredients to perfection as mentioned in the recipe.
