Home made soft buns are the best thing that you can give to your family and dear ones. They are very easy to prepare and require very little knowledge about baking. They are also fresh and healthy as you can use the choicest of ingredients. You could use these soft and tasty buns for eating with Vada Pav, Burger, Maska Buns, or have it simply with tea or coffee!

INGREDIENTS:
250 gm All Purpose Flour / Maida1/2 Tsp Salt
1-1/2 Tsp Instant Dry Yeast
1/2 Tbsp Sugar
100 Ml Warm Water (1/2 cup)
50 Ml Warm Milk (1/4 cup)
25 Ml Oil (1/8 cup)
1 Tsp Til (Sesame seeds)
Butter/Oil for brushing
Serving: Makes 8 buns
Preparation time: 2 hours
Baking time: 15-20 mins
*1 Cup = 200 ml
2. Add warm milk and mix well
3. Add warm water gradually mixing in the flour slowly.
4. Knead in to a dough using break and stretch method (forward and backward) for 5 minutes till smooth.
5. Add Oil gradually and knead well with knuckles on platform for about 5-7 min. Beat the dough by throwing it on platform once or twice.
6. Put the dough in a greased bowl and apply 1 Tsp oil on it.
7. Cover it with wrap and put it in dark place for 1 hour (do not over prove).
8. On rising the dough becomes loose.
9. With greased palms punch it down and knead for 2-3 min.
10. Roll out the dough in to a thick cylinder. With a knife cut in to equal pieces. Shape each piece in to a ball.
11. Place balls 2" apart on greased baking tray.
12. Sprinle til (sesame seeds) on the buns.
13. Cover loosely and keep it to prove in a dark place for about 25-30 min till t becomes almost double in size. Do not over proof.
14. After proving, brush the buns lightly with oil.
15. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C/350°F for about 15-20 min until light golden from top and well browned from the bottom.
16. Take out from the oven and brush the buns lightly with oil and transfer it to wire rack. Allow it to cool.
17. Plain soft buns are ready to serve. Serve with tea, or use it with other dishes like dabeli, vada pav, etc!
