There are lot of ways of making cake. One such way is using the humble Idli Steamer to make a cake. With this Choco Idli Cake recipe you will learn how easy it is to make a cake using the Idli Steamer. Idli Steamer is usually found in all households in India particularly part of South and West India. Kids love the chocolate cake. And this very quick and easy recipe you will forget baking cakes using the traditional flour method. Here we only use the Chocolate variety of Bourbon and Oreo biscuits to make this delicious cake. This cake is very gooey and has very high porosity. It can be had anytime of the day or can also be made for occasions or parties.

Ingredients:
5 Bourbon Chocolate Biscuits (add the cream filling also)
5 Choco Oreo Biscuits (add the cream filling also)
1 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 Cup Milk
3-4 drops Chocolate Essence (optional)
1/4 Tsp Eno (Regular Flavor)
Oil for greasing
Serving: Makes 7-8 Choco Idli Cakes
Preparation Time: 5-10 mins
Cooking Time: 15-20 mins
*1 Cup = 200 ml
Method:
1. In a grinding jar grind bourbon chocolate biscuits, oreo chocolate biscuits, and sugar to a fine powder.
2. Transfer the powder in a mixing bowl.
3. Add chocolate essence (optional) and milk.
4. Mix well to form a smooth batter.
5. Add Eno to the batter and mix vigorously.
6. Immediately put the batter in greased Idli Mould. Gently tap the Idli Mould so that the batter spreads evenly.
7. Put the Idli stand in steamer. Ensure that water is boiling (boil the water in steamer before putting Eno in previous step as after putting Eno the batter should not sit idle).
8. Steam the Choco Idli for 15 min or till done. Once done take out the Idli stand and put the Idli mould to cool down completely.
9. Once cooled down unmould the Choco Idli with a knife.
10. Yummy Choco Idli are ready to Serve!
