Paneer Papad Fingers is a lip smackingly delicious tasty Mint Chutney sandwiched between Paneer Fingers and rolled in Flour batter and Papad! It is very easy to make and tastes simply superb. They are also called Paneer Papad Kurkure or Papad paneer fritters. You can make this for snacks or as starter for any occasion like parties, family gathering or just casual dinner! They are shallow fried in oil till golden and crispy. You can also prepare the fingers in advance and refrigerate it till just 5-10 min before serving when you can simply fry them and serve them hot! INGREDIENTS:
100gm Paneer Block
1-2 tbsp Coriander & Mint Chutney
2 Tsp All Purpose Flour/Maida (Alternatively use Corn Flour)
1-2 Tsp water
Pinch Black Pepper Powder
Very little salt
4-5 Papad (Urad Dal or any of your choice)
4-5 Tbsp Oil for shallow frying
SERVES: Makes 5 Paneer Papad Fingers (serves 2-3 people)
PREPARATION TIME: 7 Min
COOKING TIME: 5 Min
TOTAL TIME: 12 Min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
1. Cut Paneer in to 5 equal long finger stripes.
2. Slit all the paneer pieces lengthwise leaving about 1/4 portion.
3. Apply Mint and coriander Chutney in between the paneer slits generously.
4. Prepare all the Paneer pieces likewise & keep it aside.
5. In a separate bowl, take All Purpose Flour/Maida and mix it will water & make thick slurry like mixture.
6. Add Black Pepper Powder and salt & mix well.
7. For outer layer, take crush Papad to fine powder in mixer grinder.
8. For assembling Paneer fingers first dip prepared Paneer slices in All purpose slurry coating it well and then roll it in Papad mixture coating it well.
9. Prepare all Paneer Papad fingers in same way.
10. Now put it in freezer for 10 min to set.
11. Heat Oil in a Pan to shallow fry.
12. Once oil is hot lower flame and put Paneer Papad fingers one by one.
13. Cook Paneer Papad fingers on all sides till golden brown.
14. Take it out on a paper napkin.
15. Serve Crispy Paneer Papad Fingers with Ketchup and Coriander Mint Chutney.
TIP:
If you are making Paneer Papad fingers for any party you can cut it in small cubes and serve.
