Milk Powder Burfi is a traditional Indian Sweet or Mithai made using Milk Powder (Dairy Whitener), Milk and Ghee (Clarified Butter). Traditionally Khoya or Mawa is used to make this Burfi instead of Milk Powder. This recipe is very quick and makes in under 10 mins! They are very popular around festival seasons like Diwali, Holi and also during weddings and celebrations! Do try this quick recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
1/4 Cup Melted Ghee (Clarified Butter)
2 + 1/4 Cups Milk Powder (Dairy Whitener)
3/4 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/4 Tsp Cardamom Powder
1 Tbsp Pistachio clippings
Ghee for greasing
SERVES: Makes 500 gm of Milk Burfi
PREPARATION TIME: 2 Min
COOKING TIME: 12 Min
TOTAL TIME: 14 Min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
1. Grease a 6 inch square mould or plate with Ghee.
2. In a pan, add Melted Ghee, Milk Powder and Milk while flame is off.
3. Mix well and ensure no lumps.
4. Turn on the flame & cook for 2 mins.
5. Add Powdered Sugar & cook till mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan (7-10 mins).
6. Add Cardamom Powder and mix.
7. Switch off the flame.
8. Transfer to greased mould and spread evenly with a spatula and also tap the mould 2-3 times.
9. Garnish with Pistachio clippings and press gently.
10. Cool to room temperature.
11. Cover & referigerate for 2-3 hours.
12. Cut into pieces & serve.
