INGREDIENTS:
500g fresh curd
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup chopped mixed dry fruits (cashew nuts, almonds & walnuts)
1 tbsp tutti frutti
1 tbsp raisins
6-7 drops mixed fruit essence
SERVES: 250gm American Dry Fruits Shrikhand
PREPARATION TIME: 5 Mins
REFRIGERATION TIME: 8 Hours
TOTAL TIME: 5 Mins 8 Hours
* 1 CUP = 240ML
METHOD:
1. To make maska (hung curd) from dahi (curd/yoghurt), keep a fine mesh strainer on a big bowl.
2. Put fresh curd in it.
3. Cover it with a plate. Refrigerate the bowl for 6-8 hours.
4. After 6-8 hours curd will become thick & its water (whey) will collect in the bowl below.
5. Discard the water.
6. Put 1/2 cup powdered sugar in hung curd. Mix curd & sugar well.
7. Now add chopped mixed dry fruits, tutti frutti, raisins and mixed fruit essence. Mix well.
8. Cover & refrigerate American dry fruits shrikhand for 1-2 hours before serving.
9. Mix fruits & nuts flavour matho is ready!
TIPS:
1. You can adjust sugar as per your taste.
2. I have taken cashew nuts, almonds & walnuts. You can also take your choice of dry fruits.
3. You can use either homemade curd or bought from market.
