INGREDIENTS:
5-6 medium sized boiled & peeled potatoes
2 tbsp crushed or paste of green chillies & garlic in equal proportion
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
1 lemon juice
salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
SERVES: Makes 14-15 bread rolls (2-3 people)
PREPARATION TIME: 15 Min
COOKING TIME: 20 Min
TOTAL TIME: 35 Min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
1. In a large mixing bowl, mash boiled potatoes.
2. Add crushed green chillies & garlic, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder & lemon juice. Mix well.
3. To make bread rolls, dip a slice of bread in water and squeeze out excess water.
4. Now place about 1-2 tbsp of stuffing between the slice bread & fold the edges inwards, giving it an oval shape.
5. Repeat the process & make more bread rolls.
6. Now put the bread rolls in refrigerator for atleast 30-40 mins to ensure it does not break while frying.
7. Deep fry the bread rolls in hot oil until bread rolls are golden brown in color. Keep the flame between medium to high.
8. Serve hot with green chutney & ketchup.
