Maggi Vada is a fried fritters made from maggi noodles, chickpea flour, rice flour & veggies. It is a wonderful recipe for kids as they just love Maggi Noodles. And with this variation you can give them a delicious snack. It is also great for kids parties or breakfast. Serve it with ketchup and you are good to go. Do try this easy recipe today!

INGREDIENTS:
1 pack of Maggi Noodles (70g)1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
¼ cup rice flour
2 tbsp finely chopped bell pepper
2 tbsp finely chopped onion
2 tbsp finely chopped cabbage
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 tsp water if required
Little salt
Oil for frying & greasing
SERVES: Makes about 200g Maggi Vada
PREPARATION TIME: 10 min
COOKING TIME: 10 min
TOTAL TIME: 20 min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
1. Cook Maggi Noodles as per instructions on packet. Allow it to cool down.2. In a bowl take mix chickpea flour (besan), rice flour, finely chopped bell pepper, finely chopped onion, finely chopped cabbage, finely chopped green chilli, finely chopped coriander leaves.
3. Add cooked Maggi noodles & little salt for chickpea & rice flour.
4. First mix lightly with a spoon & then mix with hands.
5. If required add 1 tsp water for binding.
6. Using greased hands prepare round balls from the mixture & put it on a plate.
7. Heat oil for frying.
8. Keep flame on medium & fry vadas in 2 batches. Initially do not turn them over & let it fry to light brown on one side first.
9. After 1 min turn them over & fry on other side.
10. Once Maggi vadas become golden brown take them out on paper napkin.
11. Fry remaining vadas in same way.
12. Serve Maggi vadas with ketchup.
TIPS:
1. You may also use leftover Maggi noodles for this recipe.2. Rice flour soaks moisture in Maggi Noodles & vadas become crispy.
3. You can also add red chilli powder to make spicier vadas.
4. Ensure not to crush the noodles while mixing.
5. You may also shallow fry Maggi Vadas.
