Chocolate Rava Cake is made using semolina or rava instead of the usual all purpose flour. Due to use of semolina it is healthy and has nice texture to it. It is easy to make and suitable for beginners. For icing chocolate sauce made from block of chocolate and milk is used. It tastes yummy and gooey. Do try this recipe today!

INGREDIENTS:
For Rava Chocolate Cake:
½ cup + 2 tbsp rava/fine semolina
½ cup powdered sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
40 ml non-flavored oil
1 & ½ tbsp fresh curd
100 ml milk
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
6 inch cake mould/tin
For Chocolate Sauce:
50 gm dark chocolate
¼ cup milk
2 tbsp chocolate spread
For Garnish:
1 tbsp pistachio, almond & cashew nuts clippings
SERVES: 6 inch cake
PREPARATION TIME: 15 min
COOKING TIME: 30 min
TOTAL TIME: 45 min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
For Rava Chocolate Cake:
1. In a bowl mix rava, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, non-flavored oil, fresh curd & milk.
2. Cover & let this batter rest for 10 min.
3. After 10 mins add baking powder, baking soda & salt. Mix well.
4. Grease a 6 inch cake tin with oil & placed butter paper at bottom.
5. Pour batter in cake tin.
6. Tap well to level & release air bubbles.
7. Bake Chocolate Rava Cake in preheated oven at 180C for 25-30 min.
8. My cake was baked in 30 mins & allow it to cool for 1 hour or so.
For Chocolate Sauce:
1. Take dark chocolate in microwave safe bowl & add milk.
2. Microwave for 30 seconds & mix.
3. If needed microwave again for 30 seconds.
4. Add chocolate spread & mix well.
5. Chocolate sauce is ready.
For Garnishing Cake:
1. Transfer the cake to serving plate.
2. Cover the cake with chocolate sauce.
3. Sprinkle pistachio, almond & cashew nuts clippings
4. Bakery style chocolate semolina cake is ready!
Tips:
1. If you don’t have rava, grind regular sooji in mixer grinder.
2. I have used Hershey’s Chocolate Almond Spread. You can even use Nutella.
