Cold Cocoa a very famous drink from Surat is loved by kids & elders alike. Though it is very easy to make, it tastes very delicious. Here is a recipe of Cold Coco Premix which just needs to be cooked in milk for 2-3 min. It tastes just as store bought premix. This premix can be stored in freezer for 4-5 months and it is perfect for gifting as well.

INGREDIENTS:
For Cold Coco Premix:
8 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp + 4 Tsp Cocoa Powder (Unsweetened)
4 Tsp Cornflour
For Cold Cocoa:
500ml Milk (preferably full fat)
½ cup cold cocoa mix (approx 70g)
1 tbsp grated dark chocolate for garnish (optional)
SERVES: Makes 141g Cold Cocoa Mix & serves 2 person using half the premix
PREPARATION TIME: 5 min
COOKING TIME:5 min
TOTAL TIME: 10 min
* 1 CUP = 240 ML
METHOD:
For Cold Coco Premix:
1. In a mixing grinding jar, add sugar, cocoa powder & cornflour.2. Pulse for 15-20 seconds till everything is mixed well.
3. Transfer this mixture to an airtight container & store in freezer for upto 4-5 months.
For Cold Cocoa:
1. In a separate sauce pan, heat milk and allow it to come to boil.
2. Once it comes to a boil, add cocoa mix.
3. Stir this continuously making sure there are no lumps and allow it to come to boil.
4. Lower the flame & cook it for 2-3 min.
5. After that turn off the gas, transfer cold cocoa to a bowl & let it cool on room temperature.
6. Once cooled to room temperature, keep it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.
7. Pour in glasses. Garnish with grated dark chocolate. Serve chilled.
