INGREDIENTS:
Milk Masala Powder:
2 tbsp almonds
2 tbsp cashew nuts
1 tbsp pistachio
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp fennel seeds
½ tsp saffron strands
¼ tsp dry ginger powder
Seeds of 3 cardamon
Milk Masala Drink:
¾ cup milk
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp milk masala powder
SERVES: Makes 88g milk masala powder
PREPARATION TIME: 5 min
COOKING TIME: 5 min
TOTAL TIME: 10 min
* 1 CUP = 237 ML
METHOD:
Milk Masala Powder:
- Dry roast 2 tbsp almonds, 2 tbsp cashew nuts, 1 tbsp pistachio for 2-3 min.
- Switch off flame.
- Add seeds of 3 cardamon, ½ tsp fennel seeds.
- Cool down completely.
- Now add ¼ tsp dry ginger powder, ½ tsp saffron strands & 1 tbsp sugar.
- Grind to fine powder in mixer grinder.
- Transfer to air tight container.
- Store in fridge for 3 months or freezer 4-5 months.
Milk Masala Drink:
- In a pan boil ¾ cup milk mixed with 1 tsp sugar & 1 tsp milk masala powder.
- Mix well. Once it comes to boil, switch off flame.
- Serve milk masala drink hot in a cup or mug!
